DESCRIPTION

Garage Museum of Contemporary Art would like to welcome GARAGE Premium cardholders—the Museum’s patrons and community—to a special tour of Viktor Pivovarov’s exhibition Lost Keys at the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts.

Pivovarov’s Lost Keys was organized with support from Garage, and is the natural progression of The Snail’s Trail, the retrospective on display at Garage, which shows more than 100 classics of Moscow Conceptualism.

At the Pushkin Museum, GARAGE Premium cardholders can see paintings done by Pivovarov at the end of 2015: eight paintings, combining a stylistic game with art from the 15th and 16th centuries.

The creation happens inside the museum halls’ amazing space, both meditative and playful at the same time. The works of Hieronymus Bosch, Pieter Bruegel, Lucas Cranach, and Giovanni Bellini are not just cleverly chosen citations, supporting the idea of the modern author, but rather "confuse" the viewer, luring them into a trap cleverly set by the semantic.

GARAGE cardholders can visit the Museum’s exhibitions for free for one year, can go to artists’ studios and see collectors’ private collections, get gifts, special discounts, and invitations to exclusive events.
