A series of sound walks for teens with Sync Sisters

Date

Schedule

13:00–15:00

Place

Garage Museum of Contemporary Art

DESCRIPTION

Participants will learn how sounds exist in the city, the park, and the museum, how they are usually heard, and what remains unheard.

This series of walks will shift the participants’ focus of perception from the visual to the auditory to help them develop mindfulness for sound events. The group will explore different sound environments, analyze the limits and possibilities of their hearing, while also recording sensations using a special diary of audio impressions, creating sound maps, and documenting sounds with an audio recorder.
