The course covers basic architectural terms and introduces kids to the works of famous architects. Participants will learn to understand architecture through scale and proportion. 

In 10 classes, children will discuss concepts like scale, space, volume and proportion and learn to design big and small objects. In the final class each student will present a final project—a model of an entire city.

A course in architecture for children aged 5 to 7.

ABOUT THE INSTRUCTORS

 
Daria Turanskaya

Daria Turanskaya is an architect and teacher. She graduated from the Moscow Architectural Institute (where she specialized in residential and public architecture) in 2005. From 2001, she worked as an architect at Mosproject 4’s project workshop and later moved to Mosproject 2. She has also been a leading architect at the architectural workshop UB DESIGN for over seven years.

 
Marina Weisman

Marina Weisman is an architect and teacher. She graduated from the Moscow State Academy Art Lyceum in 1998, and the Moscow Architectural Institute (where she specialized in residential and public architecture) in 2005. She has been working as an architect at Mosproject 4’s project workshop and at the architectural workshop UB DESIGN since 2003.

We look at Leonardo Da Vinci’s golden section; we measure ourselves and make ourselves ten times smaller and create a character to work with throughout the course.
