Introduction to painting. 18+

The first class explores the difference between creating a new work and copying someone else’s. Participants will work with various materials and make sketches.

The second class is devoted light and shadow and the way we can convey them through color and shape.

The class will focus on the previously introduced categories of light and shadow. The participants will also learn more about the space that surrounds objects in a still life and will try this genre for themselves.

In this class, participants learn to see the shapes of objects and transfer them onto paper.

In this class, participants will find out about hues and contrasts, learn to master color, and keep their paintings “fresh”.

In this class, participants will look at characters and facial features and practice life drawing.

Participants will continue working on their portraits, this time focusing on composition.

In the eighth class, participants will learn how to use their drawings and ideas for business.

The ninth class introduces participants to the basics of design. Tatyana Chursina will talk about corporate style, packaging, and brand books, and explain why they are important.

In the final class, participants will discuss texture, bleeding, dripping, and structure. They will look at abstraction and photorealism, and talk about various artistic devices.
