Arup. Total Design Over Time
The publication is the companion book to the V&A's exhibition “Engineering the World: Ove Arup and the Philosophy of Total Design” held from 18 June 2016 to 6 November, 2016. Since it was established by Ove Arup in 1946, Arup has been the design, architectural and engineering genius behind many of the world’s leading buildings and urban areas. The book looks at the ideas behind the engineering company's projects around the world in the context of key macro‑economic trends such as climate change, urbanisation, the technology explosion and changing travel patterns.
