Kunst Der Gegenwart
Klaus Honnef was born in 1939. German art critic, critic of art and theorist of artistic photography. He is the author of numerous books on contemporary painting and photography. From 1960 to 1965, he studied sociology and history at Cologne University. Already during his studies he worked as a free film critic, theater critic and art critic. Since 2000, Honneuf is a free curator of exhibitions and an art critic for the editions Die Welt, Kunstzeitung, EIKON, he works for various international photo magazines, as well as the Critical Dictionary of Contemporary Art. In the Cologne publishing house in German and English the collection “Art of the 20th century” was published, where Honnef acts as one of the main authors.
