Candida Höfer turns her attention to the vast universe of one of the most important European networks of culture transmission, the Way of St. James that leads to Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. This new series of photographs enables readers to reconstruct the classical paths of pilgrimage that lead to Santiago de Compostela from all directions: places in Italy, Germany, France, Portugal, Ireland, England, or the south of Spain, with a special focus on the Cathedral of Santiago.
