Nepal Art Now

Constituting the first comprehensive survey of contemporary Nepalese art yet published, “Nepal Art Now” supplies a glimpse into a thriving creative scene barely represented internationally. The catalogue is published on the occasion of the exhibition “Nepal Art Now” (Weltmuseum Wien, 2019). The book — featuring color plates and biographies for the contributing artists — includes a section on artwork created by the members of Janakpur Women's Development Centre, an organization through which Maithili women are able to sell their art.
