The painter, born in Moscow in 1957, expresses his sympathy with the oppressed in his large-scale, intense colored and expressive pictures and calls others to rally in solidarity as well. The fears, misery and hunger, loneliness and despair of the individual and the logic of interpersonal relationships are his subjects.
