Malkin's refusal of plastic expression for fifteen years and exile in the United States did not contribute to his recognition in France. However, he was the only artist who appeared on the list of the 1924 Surrealism Manifesto due to his friendship with Robert Desnos, Andre Masson and Max Moris. This trip is attached to the exhibition “Georges Malkin, the tramp of surrealism” in Paris in 1999 (Pavillon des Arts), which combines works from the surreal period (1926-1931) and works from the 1950s and 1970s. Unknown to the majority, they allow you to restore the path of this mysterious and free artist, who did not stop his whole life exploring the boundaries of the world and its colors.
