The Anatomy of Colour

In this work, international paint expert, consultant and historian Patric Baty traces the developmant of paints and pigments alongside the evolution of colour systems, theories and standards. Illustrations and swatches from Baty's personal archives are interleaved with contemporary photographs of interiors. Together they highlight the constantly changing fashions in the application of colour in the home from the 1660s to 1960s.
