The best way to predict the future is to invent it.

Bodhisattva Chattopadhyay & Helge Jordheim

Presented as a spaceship ready to take off for the future, but pulled back by gravity, the fourth section of the exhibition focuses on a performative understanding of the future as it is being constructed today and affected by our actions. Switching the focus back to our present life, the projects presented in these capsules invite us to take a closer look at our material reality (objects by Studio Drift), analyze consumer trends as repressed eco traumas of our collective unconscious (Alexander Obrazumov’s installation), offer real therapy as a preparatory exercise for expanding our consciousness (Anastasia Potemkina’s project), and present an opportunity to join an international, ecologically responsible community (Wooloo). These works suggest a broader understanding of ecology as existing at the intersection of social, economic, and political relations, and posit a new type of ecological thinking as an active, continuous, and mutual interaction with the environment.
