Books to accompany Urs Fischer’s exhibition Small Axe and his project YES

This selection of books introduces visitors to the broader context of Urs Fischer’s projects Small Axe and YES—currently on show at Garage and open until August 21, 2016.

Creating fluid images of people and objects, the Swiss-born artist transforms our ideas of the world that surrounds us by playing with space and scale. Although he lists Pop Art, surrealism and Dada among his main influences, his technique and his punk aesthetic leave no doubt about him belonging to the twenty-first century.

The selection includes Urs Fischer’s own publications, albums on sculpture, exhibition catalogues and interviews with the artist.
