In Pursuit of Significant Language — Aflatoon (So you think you are Plato)

While reminscient of Araeen’s early minimalist work, Aflatoon (So you think you are Plato) is in fact a rare instance where the structures are used allegorically. The white structure on top represents European reason, while the black elements below serve as a foundation for it. The metaphor in place of a recognizable image also represents a technical problem: Araeen originally wanted to use a bust of Plato, but could not find one in Britain.
