A modern story of an inseparable love triangle involving a girl and her two male lovers, filmed in four different countries merging on the screen into a single urban, or perhaps even global, environment. Competition participant of the 30th Kinotavr Film Festival.
Teacher Margo (Yang Ge) cheats on her husband with her male student whom she appears to fall in love with—or perhaps it only seems so to her. The situation makes Margo reconsider her attitude to family and marriage, love and sex, religion and faith.
Yang Ge’s new movie is an ironic contemporary take on the classic plot featuring a love triangle, where each of the participants, alternately, is a victim, winner, or “the third wheel”, and each faces a choice which they fail to make properly or altogether. Yang Ge, director and leading actress of Trinity Sunday, offers a frank and funny reflection on the topics of sex and religion, marriage and open relationships, the East and West. Her profoundly intimate intonation is combined here with the “global” geography of the film shot in English in France, Germany, China, and Russia. The picture is competition participant of the 30th Kinotavr Film Festival. At Garage, the film will be presented by the director Yang Ge.
