Description

“Neskuchny Gorky. A stroll through Gorky Park,” Valery Serikov

Parks have always been closely linked to the everyday life of urban dwellers. People come to the park to relax and have fun in their free time, yet few consider the story of its origins. Gorky Central Park of Culture and Leisure has existed for over 90 years, and continues to thrive as part of the Culture Factory project. We would like to invite you to a walk across the entire park, to acquaint yourself with its many sights, and take shelter among the lush greens of Neskuchniy Garden. The tour will start from Garage’s recently constructed yet already renowned temporary pavilion building, designed by Japanese Pritzer Prize winner Shigeru Ban.

Tour duration: 3 hours.

Meeting point: Garage Center's temporary pavilion, 9, Krymsky Val Street.

Price: 400 to 800 roubles, ARTFriend card holders are eligible for a discount.

The number of places in each group is limited. Please book beforehand. Call +7 (495) 645-05-20 for additional information.

Valery Serikov has been a tour guide with Garage since 2009. An expert on Soviet-era architecture, he graduated from the history department of Eletsk State University.
