Composer’s Portrait Workshop

Make intuitive portraits of famous composers, using collage, coloring and drawing, while listening to eighteen of theircompositions. You can take the portrait with you or leave it on the wall in Garage Kids’ Studio.

Jazz Instruments Workshop

Did you know that some of the most ordinary objects that surround us in our daily life can easily become jazz instruments? In this workshop we will make drums, trombones and maracas, and then learn how to play them.

Improvisation Workshops

Garage Atrium will be the improvisation zone where there will be a short introduction to improvisation theory from a musician and lecturer at the Glinka Contemporary Music School Anton Sergeev (Maskeliade Studio), and composer Nikolay Khrust. After the introduction, you are welcome to improvise with musical instruments or your voice. Looping the recorded samples, musicians will mix them into one piece during the workshop.

Album Cover Workshop

Get some inspiration from the display of John Coltrane’s album covers and make your own covers for the recordings you hear.
