DESCRIPTION

Participants will be introduced with two comprehensive surveys; a retrospective of British artist of Pakistani descent Rasheed Araeen, and Pavel Pepperstein’s showThe Human as a Frame for the Landscape. The tour also includes exploration of tactile models and audio descriptions of works prepared by the Museum’s experts.

The group will track the six decades of Rasheed Araeen’s diversified and intense practice as an artist. The retrospective is divided into six chapters, displaying both his early work regarded as pioneering minimalist pieces in Western art history, and later artworks representing Araeen’s fight against racism, as well as his publishing projects.

Next, everyone interested will have the chance to explore Pavel Pepperstein’s solo exhibition The Human as a Frame for the Landscape which brings together his most contrasting projects, from new countries invented by the artist to alternative realities, and from statements addressed to existent political figures to a library of imaginary books.
