DESCRIPTION

Family Days are a great opportunity for children and adults to have fun and learn in a museum. The weekend event features workshops and exciting tours of current exhibitions.

Each weekend’s program focuses on one of the exhibitions of the summer season. Children and adults can take part in two workshops to learn more about the work of artists and architects featured in the shows—and make their own works of art.

Schedule

Text and Image workshop

Raymond Pettibon’s drawings are often accompanied by excerpts from literary texts and look like comics. But what do the artist and his characters actually say? Participants will look at how artists work with text, choose their favourite pieces of poetry of prose, and try to combine them with images to create an artwork.

Accessible to deaf and hard of hearing visitors.

A Day of a Superhero. Drawing a comic

Each participant will make just one drawing for the comic about a superhero. The task is not as easy as it seems, as each drawing must continue the story of the previous ones. In the evening, a complete comic will be exhibited on the Atrium wall.

T-shirt painting workshop

Finding inspiration in Raymond Pettibon's works, participants will create designs for t-shirts. They will learn various techniques of transferring black-and-white images onto textile, learn to use stencils and stamps.
