Date

Schedule

13:30–15:00

Place

Garage Auditorium

DESCRIPTION

The participants will discuss various practices of engaging children in a dialogue within a museum space.

Speakers invited to join in the discussion include teachers, child psychologists, deaf guides, parents of deaf and hard of hearing children, as well as deaf parents of hearing children. The experts will share their observations of changes that have taken place in Moscow museums with the implementation of sign language, and the attitude to these changes from the position of modern-day parents. Do parents anticipate miscommunication in the museum space? What kind of educational formats are currently missing in museums? And has the habit of visiting museums by entire families become a good leisure tradition among the deaf community yet?
