"To look at the world with the eyes of a child"

Olga Dyakonitsyna, an art historian, will give a lecture on the development of the world naive art, tracing the history of the direction from fabulous paintings by Henri Rousseau and works of Pirosmani the Tiflis nugget to Art Brut, which emerged in 1945. She will compare criteria for selecting works of self-taught artists, used by art collectors in the XX century, and the principles which modern curators follow.

Olga Dyakonitsyna (b.1947) is an art critic, curator of numerous exhibitions of naive art, an expert in the field of research of marginal creativity, a senior lecturer at Moscow State Academic Art Institute named after V.I.Surikov
