The family tree of Russian contemporary art. Lecture 3. Vitaliy Patsukov on Mikhail Chernyshov

DESCRIPTION

In his works, Mikhail Chernyshov envisages civilization as a directed process. His strategies reveal the principles of the game, dissecting and reassembling culture in various combinations. For him, the constant evolution of the secondary reality and its existence within a system of regular doubling is a personal story. Chernyshov’s provocative analysis has anticipated the post-pop art aesthetic and the extreme austerity of the matrix model in art.
