The course offers an introduction to sculpture and looks into some of its key notions, such as proportion, rhythm and dynamics.
What do Palaeolithic age sculptures have in common with Henry Moore’s works? Why do artists distort the actual proportions of objects in their sculptures? Participants will discuss various materials and techniques, trace similar ideas in various cultures, and try to use them in our own projects.
