Russian Sign Language tours of Viktor Pivovarov’s The Snail’s Trail and Open Workshops for hearing, deaf, and hard of hearing children and adults

DESCRIPTION

Visitors with families are invited to enjoy a free tour of Viktor Pivovarov’s exhibition The Snail’s Trail and take part in free open workshops for kids and adults.

This major retrospective of Viktor Pivovarov, prepared in celebration of the artist’s forthcoming 80th birthday, brings together over 100 works by one of the leaders of Moscow Conceptualism. The exhibition is organized as a Romantic journey in 11 chapters and shows Pivovarov as a painter, book designer, illustrator, theoretician, creator of conceptual albums, memoirist, and writer.

You will also be able to visit and discuss world-famous artist Taryn Simon’s exhibition Action Research / The Stagecraft of Powerwhich explores the forces that influence life in postindustrial societies—and Within Our Gates, Rashid Johnson’s tall grid-like installation with a unique ecosystem, a work that forms the third Garage Atrium Commission.

The tours will take place at the same time as the kids’ open workshops with a teacher who speaks Russian Sign Language, so adults can leave their children to enjoy the workshop and join them after the tour.
