DESCRIPTION

Representatives from leading cultural institutions will discuss the specifics of insurance in the art market at the final event of the joint educational program between Garage Museum and Ingosstrakh.

Artworks are recognized as valuables that often undergo a variety of risks during transportation, installation, exhibition and even storage. Like many other areas, the art market cannot function with stability, without the protection of art objects. One of the most effective tools for this is insurance.

Representatives of leading institutions, who work with art at all stages of its creation, exhibition and storage, are will be participating in this discussion dedicated to the specifics of this area and the main issues that arise.

Anton Belov—graduate of the Moscow Institute of Steel and Alloys (NITU “MISA”) with a degree in Physics and Chemistry. He founded the non-profit project Gallery White in Moscow and launched the bilingual magazine and online resource ARTGUIDE, He has been director of Garage Museum of Contemporary Art since 2010.

Margarita Pushkina—collector and founder of the Cosmoscow art fair.

Irina Stepanova—CEO of Sotheby’s Russia. She has been employed by the Russian Department of Sotheby’s Auction House from the moment of its foundation. One of the most competent experts of the Russian art market.

Alexey Novoselov—Deputy Director of Moscow Museum of Modern Art.

Vladimir Ivanov—joined Crown Relocations company in 2008. He worked on projects such as the International Air Show MAKS, China Air Show, Le Bourget and Farnborough, as well as Mark Rothko and John Baldessari exhibitions.

Vladimir Ovcharenko—owner of one of the oldest Russian contemporary art galleries "Regina" (founded in 1990), the founder of Russia's first auction of contemporary art VLADEY.
