The workshop will be of interest to anyone who wants to discover what a book is made of and learn the basics of its creation process. Everyone will be given a chance to come out with their own unique copy based on publications about the last century of artistic practices.

THE WORKSHOP LEADER
Pavel Smolin is a head of the Conservation and Restoration of Publications department at Nekrasov Central Universal Science Library. He completed an apprenticeship under the “Innovations in Culture” programme at the Municipal Library of Prague, specializing in restoration and prints. He initiated and tested a distance learning program for people with various types of disability on the subject of “restoration of publications and binding”.
