Hear a lecture on the interrelation between architecture and movement.

The architect, artist, and curator Yuri Avvakumov, who introduced the term “paper architecture,” speaks on music, sound, and movement in architecture in the context of his own practice.

ABOUT THE LECTURE

Yuri Avvakumov is an architect, artist, and curator. Since the early 1980s, he has worked within the tradition of the Russian avant-garde. He participated in the 6th International Architecture Exhibition in 1996 and the 50th Venice Biennale in 2003. Public collections include: the Russian Museum, St. Petersburg; Tretyakov Gallery, Moscow; Schusev Museum of Architecture, Moscow; Deutsches Architekturmuseum, Frankfurt; Victoria and Albert Museum, London; ZKM Museum for New Art, Karlsruhe; Moderna Galerija, Ljubljana.
