Just Art is a series of discussions with artists moderated by renowned art critic and historian Andrey Kovalev.

Haim Sokol makes installations, videos and sculpture exploring Russian and European social history – the history of revolutions and the Holocaust – at times assuming perspectives suggested by Russian literature or particular historical documents.

 

Haim Sokol studied at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Moscow. He participated in the First Indian Biennale (Kochi-Muziris, 2012), Mediation Biennale (Poznan, Poland, 2010), 3rd Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art (2009), 2nd Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art and other exhibitions, and is a recipient of the Innovation Prize (2009 and 2014), and Stella Art Foundation special prize (2009). He is a lecturer at Rodchenko School of Photography and Multimedia in Moscow.
