Garage Education Center will be hosting a portfolio review for the alumni of MARCH Architecture School. Prospective and BA students will have an opportunity to get some guidance in preparing their portfolio from the best Moscow architects – the alumni and the teachers of MARCH.  This year, invited to attend for the first time are prospective students, as well as the current BA’s applying for a Masters programme.

Essential for an architect’s career, a portfolio with projects – construction and otherwise – is also the best mirror revealing to the architect his or her unique creative and professional potential. A list of projects is necessary when an architect is applying to a school, looking for a job, or taking part in a competition.

In MARCH, as in most European schools, a portfolio is the main way of presenting projects. Apart from the projects it presents, the things that matter are how it is structured and designed, as well as the texts it contains: these are the things that make it more than an album with pictures, turning it into a true work of art. It is the portfolio that most architecture schools around the world look at in the first place when considering a student’s application.

Speakers:

Taking part in the discussion of portfolios will be MARCH’s Rector Yevgeny Ass,  the head of  Project Meganom Yuri Grigoryan, MARCH lecturers Oleg Shapiro (Wowhaus), Narine Tyutcheva (AB Rozhdestvenka), Konstantin Khodnev (DNK Architectural Group), Ruben Arakelyan (WALL), as well the school’s students and alumni.
