DESCRIPTION

Sasha Obukhova, the organizer of POSTCRIPT AFTER RIP, will tell GARAGE card holders about the project and describe the making of the visual archive of the contemporary art era.

Vadim Zakharov’s video archive, formed over the last 25 years, offers a unique overview of Moscow artists’ activity. It includes documentation of over 230 solo and group exhibitions, which took place in Russia and abroad from 1989 to 2014. The exhibition contains videos of some seminal exhibitions, as well as of the lesser-known but nevertheless important episodes in the history of Russian contemporary art.
