Description

Joule is a unit of measuring work and energy. The film of the same name is a collage of fragments of some routine actions which comprise the life matter we normally take no notice of. A journalist and a program hero meet in a TV studio and agree on the interview questions before going on the air; an athlete works out his muscles in a fitness club. A toy tank goes along a desert carrying a quite real but dead soldier. There is energy of life in the borderline space between the obvious and hidden, the important and insignificant.

Screened at the International Film Festival Rotterdam in 2012.

The Russian Premier.

In the framework of the Deconstruction of Сinematic Realities Film Program.
