Dear friends,

As the New Year approaches, we thought it was the ideal moment to sum up our results, make new wishes and express our gratitude to you for being with us!

We are proud that Garage Museum of Contemporary Art is a place where people, art, and ideas connect to create history. Every day we make every effort to exceed the expectations of our visitors.

Here at Garage, the team has worked to make the passing year an unforgettable one: we held 16 exhibitions and more than 2,500 public events for children and adults, which more than 2,700 people with disabilities took part in. A new program of music events Mosaic Music was launched, bringing famous musicians to Garage, we held the first Garage Art Book Fair and Garage under 18 Festival, became a part of the annual Museum Night, expanded Garage Screen program by opening a second cinema space on Garage Rooftop, collaborated with RANEPA University and enrolled the first students on the Masters Program Art Business Management, treated visitors with seasonal specials at Garage Café, and organized various workshops, training courses, lectures and performances.

Garage Archive Collection now consists of more than 400,000 items and Garage Library increased to four times its original size and launched an online catalogue. This fall, we presented 36 new terms on art in Russian Sign Language and after running training for deaf museum guides, Moscow art institutions will have the opportunity to expand their accessibility for the deaf audience.

We appreciate every visitor of the more than 600,000 people that came to Garage this year! All our projects and programs were possible because of the support of our visitors and followers, partners and patrons, GARAGE cardholders and the media.

We wish you all the best for the upcoming year. Let 2017 be happy and full of inspiration!

Next year we will continue to bring you contemporary art—stay tuned and see you at Garage in 2017!

Yours,

Garage team
