Garage Summer Film Program is accessible to deaf and hard of hearing visitors

In summer 2017, Garage Museum of Contemporary Art invites deaf and hard of hearing visitors to see films with Russian subtitles at the new Garage Screen Summer Cinema in Garage Square in front of the Museum’s pavilion in Gorky Park.

Until September 15, viewers will have the chance to see new releases by the world’s leading directors, works by contemporary artists and films that have premiered at the world’s biggest festivals, as well as special film programs prepared by Garage in collaboration with Moscow’s best festivals and cinemas.

All screenings are accessible to deaf and hard of hearing visitors. Films will be screened with Russian subtitles. The schedule is available at Garage website.

Garage Screen was launched in 2012 to bring to Garage’s audience the best of Russian and international filmmaking, including documentary, experimental, and fiction films. The selection of films and videos chosen by the Garage team is made up of works that explore various aspects of contemporary art and culture, and rare footage offering insight into the life and work of both famous and little-known contemporary artists, musicians, architects, and performers. There are also documentaries on the making of artworks and exhibitions.
